After thirteen years, the useful part isn't simply that I can write the code. It's knowing which shortcuts will cost you later, which features you can happily live without, and when the honest answer is that you don't need the thing you came to ask for.

It depends on what we're building. Small websites usually start in the low thousands, while apps, platforms and custom systems cost more. You'll always get a clear price before we start, and if your budget and the project don't match, I'll tell you early rather than waste your time.
It depends on the project. A straightforward website might take a few weeks; a custom platform or app will take longer. Once I understand what we're building, I'll give you a realistic timeline before we start and keep you updated as we go.
Not much. Some clients come with a detailed brief; others come with an idea they've been trying to explain for six months. If there's enough of a problem or idea to have a conversation about, that's enough to start.
Not at all. You don't need to know what framework, platform or technology you need. Tell me what you're trying to achieve, what's not working, or what you wish existed. Working out the technical solution is part of my job.
Yes, provided the existing setup is workable. I'll take a look at what you've got, tell you what I'd keep, what I'd change and whether taking it on makes sense before we commit to anything.
I'll tell you. I'm not interested in building something complicated just because I can. If an existing tool, a smaller build or a different approach solves the problem better, that's what I'll recommend.
Yes. I can work independently or alongside your existing developers, designers, marketers or agency. We'll agree who's responsible for what at the start so everyone knows where they stand.
I'm British and based in Madrid, Spain. I work remotely with clients internationally, so location usually isn't an issue. If we're reasonably close in time zones and can talk when we need to, we're good.
That depends on what you need. I can stick around for support, maintenance, improvements and future phases, or hand everything over cleanly if you want to take it elsewhere. Either way, the code and accounts are yours.
